Meet Helen Đặng Thu Hương. Creating Peaceful Connections.
A Saigon woman settled in the United States in 1994, Helen became the first Mrs. Vietnam Sacramento in 2011 and five-time Judge for the Mrs. USA and Sacramento Pageants. She loves writing as a child and won the Saigon Literature Prize at the age of 12. Life steered her toward business and her living tapestry is woven of business and literature achievements. She served as the Editor of the Youth Publishing House and had four literary translations published:
- The Assassination Bureau (Jack London);
- The Joy Luck Club (Amy Tan);
- The Name of The Rose (Umberto Eco);
- The Unlighted Lamps (Sherwood Anderson.)
She became a Columnist to Bao Nha and eNewspaper in California and founded Savvie Real Estate Brokerage in Sacramento, California. Intensively interested in houses, she has studied architecture, interior design, and new construction technologies for many years.
Passionate about writing, art, painting and a meditation-based peaceful lifestyle, she founded the weekly newsletter Hiểu và Thương with the hope of cultivating meaningful connections with the Viet communities in America, Vietnam and the world at large to foster a peaceful lifestyle for all.
